Terminal
Active terminals receive foundation rehabilitation and pretreatment with various geotechnical construction techniques. Compaction grouting, jet grouting, and micropiles surgically underpin terminal structures, and often allow terminal operations to continue during construction. Driven piles transfer loads through weak soils layers to a suitable bearing layer of soil or rock, are suitable for all types of structures, and are chosen over other deep foundation methods for economic and site-specific factors. Jacked piers and compaction grouting relevel terminal structures without disrupting terminal operations. Hayward Baker is experienced with keeping terminals in operation.
